Local Growth Management Committee seeking volunteers for Local Growth Management Organization The Local Growth Management Committee, consisting of elected representatives from Portales, Clovis, Curry and Roosevelt counties, met this morning to approve the recruitment of nine volunteers to serve on a Local Growth Management Organization. Local Growth Management Organization members will make recommendations to the Local Growth Management Committee regarding the anticipated growth brought about by the announcement of an expanded mission at Cannon Air Force Base. Recommendations would include areas such as infrastructure, education and healthcare. The organization would act as a liaison between the Air Force and the Office of Economic Adjustment. The Local Growth Management Committee will appoint the nine members to the Local Growth Management Organization.
