PLANS UNDERWAY TO MEET HOUSING NEEDS FOR OUR RESIDENTS The Portales City Council, City Manager and community met with
UniDev LLC, a company selected as the master developer for the proposed
affordable housing project in Portales. The City of Portales applied
to the New Mexico Mortgage Authority and was approved for a feasibility
study under the Workforce Housing Development Program. The project
proposes to build affordable homes on city-owned land that would
meet the needs of the working force professions in our community.
Officials from UniDev LLC made presentations to the Portales City
Council and to community members on December 5th and 6th. The Workforce
Housing Program is an exciting opportunity for our community and
