from various individuals including those representing the Bureau

and the City of Clovis. Mayor Orlando Ortega testified on behalf

Mayor Ortega informed the committee of the importance of the Ute
Pipeline Project and asked for their support on a federal level.
Along with Mayor Lansford of Clovis and many others, Mayor Ortega
requested that the process continue to be move forward with immediate
action to try and secure the funding needed for the Ute Pipeline.
Estimations show that eastern New Mexico’s current water supply
under today’s demand will only last another 18 years; therefore,
