Senior Citizens Recreation and Activities
Dominoes, board games, shuffleboard, pool, ceramics, Monday –Friday, exercise (Monday, Wednesday and Friday AM), painting Monday’s, quilting and Bridge on Tuesday’s, Potluck every Thursday Noon, Saturday Night Senior Dance.
Senior Citizens Transportation Services
Portales Senior Center Provides free transportation to seniors 60-years-old
and older and within a five-mile radius of the city limits on a
first-come basis to anywhere in Portales between the hours of 8
a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and also for scheduled medical
appointments in Clovis. All Clovis appointments must be made on
Tuesday’s between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Senior Citizens Trips
Senior trips are scheduled at different times during the year for different events in New Mexico and Texas.
Senior Citizens Advocacy
Center Director has knowledge and phone numbers to refer seniors to different senior organizations as needed.
